Open the sacral chakra through water activities, creative expression, yoga poses, orange elements, and meditation. Simple ways to boost your sacral chakra include eating a healthy meal, enjoying a hot bath or sauna, and getting a massage. The first physical feeling you may experience when your sacral chakra opens is a sensation of warmth or tingling in your lower abdomen. Mindfulness, one of the most popular meditation techniques, comprises two main components: attention and acceptance. Research on mindfulness has primarily focussed on two types of interventions:
- Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is a therapeutic intervention that involves weekly group classes and daily mindfulness exercises to practice at home. MBSR teaches people how to increase mindfulness through yoga and meditation.
- Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is a therapeutic intervention that combines elements of MBSR and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to treat people with depression. Researchers found mindfulness-based therapy was especially effective for reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
